Protection of Cultural Heritage

NI Conservation Centre Skopje in its work covered a series of procedures in accordance with the priorities in the Annual Program for 2022
- development and implementation of projects, new or started while preserving continuity to final implementation, in the field of architectural and artistic cultural heritage
- preparation of Elaborates for valorization and revalorization of cultural monuments, individual or in monumental complexes with a Proposal Act for raising the degree of protection
- preparation of Protective-conservation bases for cultural heritage at the request of legal entities for the preparation of bases for areas of coverage of Detailed Urban Plans
- conducting Protective archaeological research at the request of natural or legal persons
- conservation-restoration research for the development of projects for conservation and restoration in the field of architecture and wall painting
- Presentation of cultural and historical heritage housed in the Church Complex "St. Salvation" in Skopje, the cultural heritage in the church St. Salvation, the priceless Iconostasis, the throne and feast icons, the fresco painting as well as the Goce Delchev Exhibition, before domestic and foreign visitors as well as before high state delegations.
Within the scope of its work, many other procedures have been implemented in program and extra-program activities. It is worth noting that the scope of jurisdictions and operations is extensive - 10 city municipalities; 6 suburban municipalities; the City of Skopje and the Monumental Complex "Old Skopje Bazaar", which means procedures in program and extra-program activities, procedures upon requests of natural and legal persons and other entities on the territory of 16 Municipalities, the City of Skopje and the Monumental Complex "Old Skopje Bazaar". As a noteworthy mention are the implementation of the capital projects - "Aqueduct" in Skopje and "Memorial House of Lazar Lichegovski" which have continuity in implementation with enormous support from the Ministry of Culture, as well as the beginning of the development of a project for Partial reconstruction, conservation, restoration and adaptation of the "Counter Hall" building of AD Poshta of North Macedonia in the Monumental Complex - Nova Poshta in Skopje. The success of the implementation of the Annual Program for 2022 is also evidenced by the series of procedures that are archived and documented, as well as for the work of the institution for the period from 2018 - second quarter 2022, a Performance Audit was conducted by the State Audit Office. All this speaks to the implemented procedures for Efficiency of policies and measures for protection, management and revitalization of immovable cultural heritage by NI Conservation Centre Skopje.
