Monastery Church "St. Panteleimon" Village of Gornja Nerez

In the premises of the monastery complex "Saint Panteleimon" village of Gorno Nerezi, in the presence of the Head of the Macedonian Orthodox Church Ohrid Archbishopric, His Holiness Stefan, the Director of the Commission for Relations with Religious Communities and Religious Groups M.A. Darijan Sotirovski, the Director of the Administration for Protection of Cultural Heritage Mr. Atso Kostov, the Director of NI Conservation Centre Skopje Kole Chapkanovski present with a professional team from the institution, Konstantin Dimitrovski senior advisor conservator and Nita Mucha - art historian, as well as representatives from the clergy, a working meeting was held at which a series of topics were raised relating to the protection of cultural properties that by their significance are embedded in our cultural heritage. Special emphasis was placed on the monumental property, the church "Saint Panteleimon" in Gorno Nerezi, for which an Elaboration for Revalorization was prepared, which is a prerequisite for the preparation of a project, initially in the area of architecture - the roof structure and further conservation and restoration of the fresco paintings as well as for the entire monastery complex.
